Our Differentiators

Choosing us for your manufactured products puts you in good company. Back in 1982, Illinois Tool Works was in search of a close tolerance machining operation located in an out-state area supported by a technical college. They wanted to establish a stream of qualified machinists in an operation that would be located near a major transportation system.ITW Heartland and ABB

In Alexandria, Minnesota we offered all of that and more. Our profile included the nationally ranked Alexandria Technical College, a location on Interstate 94, and an airport capable of handling commercial aircraft. We employed engineers and machinists experienced in programming, set-up and operations. Our quality was impeccable. That was then, and we’ve only matured and expanded upon those compelling attributes during the past 27 years. We are ITW Heartland. Illinois Tool Works was excited to find us then, and you will be now!

In the machining industry, nearly anyone can remove metal and end up with “the correct” part. So what makes ITW Heartland so different? We are more than a job shop. We are a trusted partner who will simplify business and drive more money to your bottom line!

Our commitment to quality is legendary. We have operated under the adage that “good enough is never good enough”. Each employee is responsible for the quality of their work, but also knows that our customers have the final word on the definition of quality. We employ inspection processes and equip our team members with state of the art tools. Commitment covers a lot of ground at ITW Heartland, whether it’s quality, on time delivery, training, continuous improvement or any of our other focus areas. We work to be the best.
