The Manufactured Products division of ITW Heartland has launched a six-month training and quality transformation initiative to become AS9100 certified. AS9100 is an international aerospace standard to attain quality assurance in design, development, production, installation, and servicing for stringent aerospace applications. ITW Heartland already serves several major aerospace clients from its Spiroid division. Achieving AS9100 certification in the Manufactured Products division will extend ITW Heartland’s array of capabilities and products to these notable clients in the future.

The certification process is expected to be completed by July 1, 2009.
